Green Burial Round Table
Saturday June 12th, 2021 10am to Noon PT on Zoom
A Round Table discussion for those of us working on and those wanting to establish Green / Natural Burial options in Canada.
We use the terms ‘Natural Burial’ and ‘Green Burial’ interchangeably to describe
the return to a simple, direct earth burial.
PURPOSE of the Round Table
Hosted by the Death Doula Network of BC and Green Burial BC; this round table will allow us to meet and put faces to names, to describe our visions, share where we are on our projects and our challenges.
It is the hope of GBBC that we form a group to share resources and ideas and to formulate a plan to meet quarterly. To assist each other in achieving our goals of making natural burial an affordable option for every Canadian.
PARTICIPANTS REGISTER ON EVENTBRITE
We're inviting individuals and groups from across Canada who are actively working on establishing natural burial options, and individuals and groups who haven't begun yet but who are wanting to establish green burial options.
Established Canadian green burial cemeterians and green burial advocates are welcome to join us.
If you are interested in an information/educational session on 'What is Green Burial?' then you will want to join us for Part 2 of our Green Burial Series on June 26th. This will be a Panelist Forum information session where you will discover what green burial is all about, the various options and where it is already available in Canada. Watch for more details on Part 2 here and on the DDNBC website.
We are asking participants of the Round Table to provide a bit of information when you register on Eventbrite:
* the name and website (and social media accounts) for your Green Burial group (if you have one),
* how many people are involved in your project
* your community and province
* briefly describe the stage you are at with your project
* one burning question you would like answered at this round table
If you have questions, please email nicola@greenburialbc.ca
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 12th from 10 to Noon Pacific Time.
Together we can make natural burial an easy, affordable and naturally beautiful option for every Canadian.
